Giam founded Aiyoyo Studio to bring decades of real-world engineering and operations experience to apps and software built with AI.

BACKGROUND

Giam trained as a civil engineer and spent many years at Shell Eastern Petroleum in Singapore, rising from project engineer to Chief Civil Engineer, working in a safety-critical, results-driven refinery environment.

He then moved into asset management and maintenance software, leading consulting and implementation projects for refineries and petrochemical plants in Asia and beyond, and developing early computerised inspection and maintenance systems.

Later roles in large engineering and construction companies took him into business integration, people development and management, including large-scale recruitment and the introduction of IT systems to run people processes.

WHAT HE BRINGS

• Hands-on project delivery, from scoping to go-live
• Systems thinking across operations, people and technology
• A focus on clear milestones, safety and results
